From my experience, most Somali households (including the single parent ones) make over $50K/year. It would have been more beneficial for the govt to have lowered tuition for everyone than to offer free tuition for a select group of people

I assure you, that is not true for most Somali households relying on financial assistance. And there are many of them.

tuushi, there is a catch sister. you still pay but not full tutotion. i knew nothing 100% free in life.

I'm not denying that this will be very helpful for low income Somali families, but what I'm saying is that the average Somali household makes over this $50K threshold and yet their kids still have to rely on osap loans to pay for tuition.
