Re: Do you have a satisfied life ?
I'm very very dissatisfied with my life at the moment. Been like this ever since I dropped out of uni and started working at asda nearly 7 years ago. Every decision I've made since then has worked agaisnt me and every year I'm getting more depressed and more suicidal. I feel like there is something huge missing from my life and I don't know what is is. Some say I need to get married, some say I need to start praying, some say I need to go to uni, some say I need to find a better paying job. I can't put my finger on it. Would a girl make me happier? Maybe, maybe not. In the beginning sure, but if she got comfortable and started asking me for things I can't afford it would be just another problem in my life. Praying? Okay on the rare occassion that I pray I do feel happy but as soon as I leave the mosque reality is still there. Going to uni or finding a better job are nothing but dreams. Can't afford the first one and can't get the second one without the former. I'm destined to be dissatisfied with life and drink and drugs will ruin me. An eventuality I have to accept.

I think you tried to hide a lot of how you feel with sarcasm but I bet most of what you said in this post is true.thehappyone wrote:I'm very very dissatisfied with my life at the moment. this might be one of the reasons as to why you arent happy, but isnt the main one, there are ppl who are single yet happy with their life. but i would advice you to get married brother, dont worry about the risaq afterwards, allah will take care of that, promised your risq as long you fear of him, allahu subxaanah said
“And whoever fears Allah, for him Allah brings forth a way out, and gives him provision (rizq) from where he does not even imagine"
ps your future wife will come with her risq too, actually some ppl become financially happier when they get married, yes u will have to spend more but remember, there will most likely be two income, you will save more when it comes to taxes etc.
Praying? Okay on the rare occassion that I pray I do feel happy but as soon as I leave the mosque reality is still there.
i believe this is the primary reason of ur unhappiness, ofcaurse you will face trials nd difficulties in life wether you pray or not, you may even face more problems than the average gaal joe. Because, this dunya is our "jail" as prophet scw said and paradise for non believers. we dnt pray so that allah would solve our prbs we pray because we are ordered to do so, we pray because its why are in this dunya allah said swt "And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me" and pray because we want jannah. ps, when you have a connection with allah, you wont despair allah's mercy and these worldly problems wont bother you as much, atleast not to the point you consider suicide!

frist of all you need to quit drinking nd drugs i think you dont even need to be remined the damage these things do to ur body and their contribution to ur depression
for ur the university, only allah knows if you will get a good paying job after you graduate, and there are many ppl who dont get paid as much as they anticipated or didnt even get a job in their field, but i will tell you one thing, you will be more satisfied and confident if you finish your degree. dont worry abt the money now, just get ur degree and leave the risq to allah.if you dont feel like it, than find a better job to make more money, you dnt have to have degree to be happy but you have to have allah in ur life in order to be successful in this life and hereafter

THO,
/First of all stop the two d's. I am guessing that's where your depression is stemming from
Secondly, get married inshallah your mind will be at ease, or atleast get back to uni, taffe or polytechnic, it will keep you occupied.
