they thought i spoke kufr!! ma quraan ba wah tareyn bla bla. as you and tuushi said, education is the key. then again, western educated baba sidan ad arakto ah!!
War bil is ilaali; you could be a victim of the Gaal chanting crowd.

There is this old somali saying; Malag imaadey marra ma reebto ( death cannot be prevented by volumes of the quran).

I met relatives of patients with terminal cancers that has metastisized , full blown aids with low T-cells and mental diseases who claim that GAALO do not know anything. They recommend quraan saar. There are actually some studies ( not reliable and have been questioned) that show that faith could have a short-term impact, but the notion that Todoba marro, 8 juzz and/or afar faataxo will cure the patient is nonsense.

  i am not against quran but get specialist treatments too. i also tell them when they say "quraan e saar", adikaba isku aqri, Allah anigu kama 7ego.

the problem, there are many so called sheikhs/wadads ko shaqeysto quran saar. people do not look treatment for physical and mental deseases they have.

i know person who was called "wo washey" brought him from Holand. he has schizophrenia, hearing voices and sees things no one else sees. Also marijuana abuse trigged his symptoms. Any ways, they brought him for quran saar.

I was like why you didnt get help in holand? they said, daawada kaman helin sidey ka diktay!! the medication was working for him but they hearsey,"daandaan bey ka digeysa, they drugging him" !!

we convinced him to see doctor here "a muslim ahe, as they didnt trust gaalo". they put him once a month shot, since he used to refuse to take oral medication.

ninki wa normal, medication with no weed abuse. they believe quran only worked tho.lol

In the west, a common treatment for schizophrenia is injecting(also in tablet form) is the so called atypical/ antipsychotic medication such as Thorazine and Haldol. There are also drugs against depression which are very effective. One side effects of these is apathetic/apathy syndrome which makes the patient calm. Many Somalis have permeated a discourse of "cirbad baa lagu durey" " waa la cirbadeey" without understanding the underlying reason for treatment.
