Minority groups in Somalia should also get the chance to run for presidency. Or women or the youth. I support that too.
We have had enough of these people. 25 years, and they have brought no positive change. HSM, Al-shabab, Ami-som, turned Somalia, the pearl of the ocean, to a night-mare, looting properties. I can go on for days.
They can't rule the country anymore. I love all my somali people, but we need some changes!!!!!

1- Ogaden sub clan live outside somalia so they aren't somalia citizens and can't take part in the process

2- Raxanwayne is larger then darod so they deserve the presidential seat more then darod

3- you say hawiye ruined somalia but it was darod, they started war with Ethiopia for no reason and stole other clans stuff

4- mareexaan regions and Dhulbahante regions are the poorest and doing the worst out of everyone else in somalia, how will you fix the country when you can't even fix ur small regions

I just want to see some changes in Somalia. That's all. We can't do the same thing for 25 years, turn around and ask ourself why things are not changing. We need to start over, come up with new ideas, and a mindset, let others to power ( be it women, youth, other clans) etc.

They are still ethnic somalis, and they have every right to be involved in Somali politics, if that's what they want.

Raxanweyn makes up 20% of the Somali population, while Darood is estimated to be one, if not, the largest somali clan.
Besides, you don't elect people based on how large their population is.
You should look at the quality, education, and the vision\goals the politicians have.

The Ogaden area has belonged to Somalis for nearly as long as Somali people have existed. Due to the good relations Ethiopia had in general with European nation they were able to convince them to give the Somali region of Ogaden to them which now makes up 1/3 of Ethiopia . The Ogadens were being oppressed in their own region.
Siad Barre tried to liberate his brothers and unite Somalia.

Somalia as a whole is poor. But, yes, charity begins at home, If we want to see some changes in Somalia, I think we should start in the capital.
