Does one need a visa to go to hargeisa?? say you have a european or american passport, but you are somali, do you need a visa ctually?? i am asking this seriously!

They have their own immigration policy. Not sure how it works. I think you can get an entry visa at the airport. That's how it worked when I went there.

No opportunity to go to Mog - really would like to go back and visit some friends there. Maybe some day.

Hargeisa was nice. Very safe, clean by African standards. Somewhat conservative, but not facist conservative. Unlike what some people say here, you can get a beer, and you can get laid. Obviously, there are times and places for both. It's not as open as Djibouti, but better than Yemen.
