I was looking for these curriculums in Somali so i can share with my kids when they get a bit older....In my fourth grade, I had a math teacher who was from Dhagax-Buur. His accent to us at the time was just Qaldaan..In one of the class lectures and demos of the shapes, he brought in a big Qabaal and Koor...For the life of me, I don't recall what those meant, but we can safely assume that Koor looks more like a triangle?
I am actually searching that now on the 4th grade curriculum.
I am not sure but the KOOR is Prism/ cones while the Qabaal could b, cylinders.

Guhaad, you could be right but a traingle is saddex xagal. Prism looks like koor because it is in 3D.
Download the books. I am sure you'd be surprised how rich the somali language is. There are even short somali stories which you could read for your kids.

Ninyohow, one of my distant uncles - don't want to say a clansman- was one of the high ranking officials who translated all the science and math books curriculums into Somali. I remember that he was not happy about that especially the math being translated into Somali. His reasoning was that Somalis from various regions of the country needed to standardize the language and "Erayo bixin" first. Someone from the South would not understand "xaglo-sidkan". Now it all makes sense Walee.....He had a strong argument indeed.....No wonder students fro the Northern and Central Regions outperformed their Southern counterparts in the university entrance exams.

As Lamagoodle mentioned, our language is very rich in terminologies.
We should be teaching Somali to our school kids.
