I think any future Somali reconciliation conferences should be held in Borama. Most of the Somali intellectuals of the past 50 years have all obtained their higher education from Borama one way or another. Borama could play a major role in establishing Somali political unity.
pan somali unity is neither desirable nor workable - only langab folks look to others not themselves
Somaliland djibouti nfd and DDSI are doing fantastic unlike failed zoomalia
NFD and the Somali region of Ethiopia are both under the rule of Nairobi and Addis Ababa respectfully. Zoomalia as you state, is a country that has been in a civil war for 20+ years. It has been under terrorists threats for over 2 decades. It has not had a functioning government for over 2 decades. It's population has fled the country to the four corners of the world. Somalia or "Zoomalia" as you state, is the country where YOU were born. Where your parents were born. It's a country that, if it had a stable, functioning government, it would've prosper economically. You wouldn't be on Somalinet cursing and belittling the very country you or your parents were born in from somewhere in Europe or America if Somalia was a prosperous nation, but simply because you see Somalia on the ground, wounded, you decided to jump on the bandwagon and take part in kicking Somalia while she's on the ground. From Seylac to Ras Kamboni, Somalia needs it's people to fight for her. To give her back life, so your kids and their kids could have a place to return to in the future.
