The old man was making something out of nothing. Some of us have done worse in public, I blame the follies of youth. Once an Cadaan woman told off me and a Xalimo love interest for making too much smooching noises in a cinema. Bitch was nowhere near us. We left and sneaked into another screen that only had a handful of people. The fun and games were duly resumed until the credits came on at the end of the movie.

Unless you were doing worse than what you mentioned, I don't see how he insulted your wife.
