That is my understanding. Allahu yaclam.
Insha'Allah, if Allah wills, I should take a second wife in the next few years. I was gonna marry this woman in Nairobi, Kenya, but it didn't work out. Brothers and sisters in Islam, please make dua for me that it will work out for me.
Whi isn't your first wife enough for you?
AND how do you interact with this woman in Kenya within the halaal limitations 'boowe?

I have a big heart that two women can find a room. I am also financially and physically capable of fulfilling my responsibilities. And I am a just man to two wives. That is what matters to me. Other considerations are trivial to me.

I used the wrong verb. I should've said I will be a just man to 2 wives. You know English language is not my strongest suites. Remember everything is qadr-Allah, so I may not even marry a second wife. My destiny is with Allah, so I don't know if I am gonna be alive tonight or tomorrow. So to sum it up, everything that I am stating are just wishes; reality is different though. Just like the last woman, it may never work out.

In the West, there is so much ridicule against Muslim men who practice polygamy as mandated in Islam. However, the same group of people - who ridicule Muslim men who marry several wives as ordained in Islam - are same people who advocate for gay marriage, sex out of wedlock, abortion, porn, and many other indecencies.
If you deeply look at the system that is in place in the West, it is the same Dajjal (Antichrist) system that we've been clearly warned to stay clear from embracing it. Since our country - Somali Republic - is in turmoil and have many hands that is keeping it down, many of us found ourselves in this land. However, let us have no illusions where we live: It is the same system that Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) told us to stay clear from embracing it.
With that in mind, many Muslims, especially Muslim women, should stay clear from some of the aspects of this system - such as feminism - that is turning Muslim women against certain aspects of their faith. Yes, there are many Muslim men, particularly Somali men, who abuse polygamy and don't fulfill their responsibilities. And Muslim women are strongly urged to speak against those who abuse this aspect of the faith, and seek solutions within Muslim societies. However, to sign up to the clear Anti-Islam extreme feminism that somehow turns women against men and against their faith, that is very dangerous for Muslim women and Muslim families.

Ina Adeer, you've accurately emphasised with strong words like "mandated and ordained" to polygamy and never mentioned the central conditions attached to, that very few Somali men will qualify to marry a second wife if they stringently followed those conditions. Marka Ina Adeer, don't be an advocate of polygamy without explaining the conditions attached to it. In the West, we have to follow the rules and laws of the country we live in and given the general conditions of Somali marriages, I think the lack of polygamy in the West is an omen sent to the Somali families who still have their father/husband actively involved in their lives.

You actually don't need the first wife's permission...

99.9% of Somali men who are polygamous don't care about doing it the right Islamic way, it is all about satisfying that itch.

She doesn't even have to be informed of a second marriage but that would be bad etiquette.

Ina Adeer, add that to the cultural dimension of Laandheere Vs Laangaab. No man wants to be a laangaab. It is offensive to be called a laangaab. A man needs few wives to produce many sons to be respected among his peers and the public. The clan will be so proud of the Somali man who produces a dozen and half men who will help the clan defeat their enemies. He will be held in high esteem. Less to do with religion.
