She used to sneak around snet never contributing to anything and she pmed me, we exchanged the usual pleasentries and found out we lived in the same neighbourhood and later found that we already new each other and from there history was made.

We got properly introduced through family. We met interstate 2 years prior to that at an Islamic self development retreat. I initially wasn't going to go, but my friend helped organise it & talked me into it.

I ended sharing two 40 minute rides with him and another Saudi sister from the airport to the place & on the way back too. The volunter brother driving us was trying to make conversation, I would speak to him & the other sister (she was pretty chatty) & ignore "the snobby Somali guy"I can see now why I thought that because he's pretty reserved.

Most awkward ride of my life. I don't think we exchanged more than salaams. I found out throughout the ride what he does & which suburb in Melb he lives.


Two years later, my cousins husband introduced us. When my cousin gave me his short bio & name I was hoping it wasn't him. Her husband spoke highly of him so I just went with it. With my cousins help we FB stalked him. His FB is very restricted with want you can see unless you're a friend. No FB profile but we managed to see some photos he got tagged in lol (I taught him how to properly hide those too now)


Anyways, throughout the whole time, I didn't really think we'd click or it would lead to marriage but I was open minded & alhamdulilah.

I was going out with his best friend after we broke up.. i was heading home after a chew session down xidigta I decided to walk with my mirqaan and bottle of coke singing the sado cali baxsano song when I bumped into him. We bumped into each other He was coming back from a date and he walked me home talking until we ended up in jigjigayar. so we walked all the way back. Exchanged our 41's

He flew out the next week

But our first proper date was in London
