i can see it now, the ethiopian federation wow such a good vision

Ethiopia is the biggest country in the horn by population and its the headquarters of the African union. That means bigger economy and a place of many political interests. For that reason Somaliland is very much interested to handle at least one third of Ethiopia import and exports, its also the only country that we can use their institutions openly when we face problems related to our lack of recognition. We use all their education institutions such as the healthy, military and civil aviation. We use their services such as the posts and air transportation. That's Mutual interest it does not mean they control us.

so you're saying Somalis must be Kurdified inorder for them to want unionism? they are taking what they have for granted and the bigger neighbors need to just take their land. no one can stop them right now if they go full Mengistu Menelik and put effort into their invasions. only thing standing in their way is the Arabs and the west will take care of them.

InaXassan I am saying if the Kurds ever had the opportunities the Somalis had. They would never have failed. I mean there are superpowers at play at stopping them from uniting and forming a country. They have a stronger and bigger opponents than us.
