It's true that without western aid they would collapse but why would the western power want Ethiopia to collapse, SOMALIA is not ready for Ethiopia to collapse. Alshabab is a threat in the horn and Ethiopia is getting a lot of money from it.
If TPLF leaves, Amhara takes control and they are far worse than TPLF since they are expansionists and wants' to claim 'former territories' of Abysennia, that includes Eritrea/Djibouti and many parts of Somalia/Somaliland. While Somali sub, sub clans can barely unite (look at Marehan, MJ, ISaaq and Hawiye for example).
Until we become god fearing people and are wadani, perhaps we can counter the Ethiopian sphere of influence, until then Somalis will continue in being Ethiopian bitches, Kenyan too.
