My problem is with a corrupt and greedy political class that can't even do something as basic as prepare for droughts and floods and can't decide whether it's coming or going - one minute it's "Walaalaheyn Koonfurta" the next it's "Ilma Addis ku dhashey ayaa iga dhow ka Xamar".

By the look at things Somaliland is going to stay the same for the next 10-15 years.
Unless these old school politicians retire things would stay the same. We need a new young and well educated leader, that knows how to deal with Somalilanders and the foreign world.

Being tough and acting tough is two different things. Somaliland is tough and capable to do what ever but we are humans god has given us brain , We know what is right and what is wrong. I believe we are on the right path plus we can maintain our underground activities what ever it is. 1/ Heavy European lobbying in its favor
2/ A willingness on Ethiopia to let Eritrea become independent .

The same can be said about South Sudan and a long lasting US lobbying + pressure on Sudan to let it go . Just saying . Nobody in this world is prepared to arbitrate the division of what is the most homogeneous country in Africa and for a good reason .Everybody is hoping we can work it out and that's what we should do. Once it happens though { which I hope it does before I die } it will take off fuckin fast .
