Great news from northern Somalia. A new state has been formed in the Northeast: Sanaag & Baari. Galmudug State and Konfur Galbeed welcome the formation of this state.

Manshallah! I welcome the formation of this new state. Its been along over due, inshallah with the support of Allah it will prosper! I believe this state will be joining khatumo in the near future which will produce recognition from the federal government as a member state.

This is the beginning of a new dawn and the demise of the clan based so called somaliland administration in northern somalia. The naive people of hargeisa and burco have unfortunately been fed lies of independence by their leaders for a quarter of a century. However as we approach 2020 and the general election that will be held throughout Somalia that deception will become more apparent. I kinda find this alarming cos IS has presence there and this new entity
may have access to more resources than those 10 groups combined not to
mention they live in a very remote location.

Warsans were always level headed people and I don't forecast this state to be any more
realistic than Makhiir state. NES will probably clash with PL rather than SLAND cos they are

It appears you don't realize half of Sanaag and 1/3 of Sool are inhabited by Isaaq.
Mind you this is only clan composition, SLAND state controls 90% of Sool region & over 70% of Sanaag.
