OK, so why does Sudan want to be another Pakistan?Abdelrahim wrote:GubanOgoHawdJSL wrote:They should go solar instead of nuclear they don't have that kind of money and expertise to go nuclear unless china assists and cover expenses which i highly doubt.
China and gulf states financing part of the cost while sudanese gov should finance around 45% over next 6 years. China , Russia, belarus and Iran (if is still on the table) all promised expertise support in the past for the nuclear plants.
solar energy is not effective enough

lol Pakistan has nuclear bombs. Sudan is looking for nuclear energy not bombs. A lot of other north african countries like Egypt , Morroco are also planning to go nuclear in the next decade.GubanOgoHawdJSL wrote:OK, so why does Sudan want to be another Pakistan?Abdelrahim wrote:GubanOgoHawdJSL wrote:They should go solar instead of nuclear they don't have that kind of money and expertise to go nuclear unless china assists and cover expenses which i highly doubt.

Sanctions are only from the US, US isn't needed in a nuclear project just Russia and China will do the job besides, Sudan has its own uranium reserves and nuclear bombs are not needed in this generation. like who the fuck would we bomb? eritrea? somalia? so that one day in the future, ''god forbid'' we would get bullied by the neighbours

Re: Sudan going nuclear, Kenya too. good or bad for east AFrica?
Actually solar is based on land mass it take longer stretch land to cover solar panels that's why it's expensive in the west but in Africa it is renewable energy that is suitable nuclear energy is dangerous do you really want nuclear waste in your landsearch think about it.BeyondQabil wrote:Solar is too expensive.

There are solar projects in Sudan as well as hydro but Solar energy is still expensive in Africa though. Nuclear is arguably cheaper in the long term specially there is no need to import uranium. most countries with nuclear power deal with the nuclear waste effectively and Sudan has a huge big and empty desert near the libyan borders. place all facilities there, its not a small country like Belarus or hugely packed like Japan.
If anything is secure and well maintained i would support it, you would support it, anyone would.

Sudan has unexploited uranium reserves in Darfur and Northern State, more then Mali or may be even Niger. put the nuclear waste near the Libyans

I'm happy for this because if Kenya, Sudan and Ethiopia reach their capacity of electricity then we can sell it to other countries. The only country that deserves to be poor and worthless is Eritrea as nobody even cares if it exists.Abdelrahim wrote:estimated at 1.5 million
