I don't see how selling our port for 30 years will bring revenue to us. Everbody is belly dancing nobody as of yet did the math.

Berbera at it's current size can only handle and bring in so much. With DP World's invesment, the 40% we recieve is going to be more than we get usually, on top of that their development of the port will mean that when they leave on somaliland's 55th aniversary, it will be the main port that handles all of the needs of somaliland, ethiopia, somalia.

I don't think it will take djibouti out of business, DP World invested in them in 2000 and so far they have been doing good. Right now the main priority is for JSL to encourage fishing in coastal cities so we can use that as exports as well as livestock.

Your analysis is the typical feel happy somali type. Now tell me how would DP gets its investment back plus the 40% they have to pay SL? it will come from the average SL trader and that means the traders will pass it to the poor SL citizens. Ethiopia will not be taxed anymore then they pay today. it's a disastrous deal.

you have to ask yourself who are the winners and losers in this deal

Winners
-The Port Operators (DW)
-Politicians and the tuugta
-Middlemen / those who wanna a slice of the pie
-The above 3 get 95%+ of the revenue

The losers
- Shacabka

xplosiveplaya is right. berbera is officially sold to sandniggers!
sland will lose $3billion USD during the 30 years deal. its shame the gov cant see beyond the small palm greasing theyre getting.
ras hawdian, you know ur ethiopian masters and arabs will exploit sland so obv you dont care that.
but it will not work cuz if all landers agree this, its ciise muuse folks who will sabotage it mark my words!
