Afarkaroon Republic ,Afar-Ka Roon, better than four, meaning better than than the old dream of Somaliyaweyn ( Somaliland+ Somalia + Western Somaliya + NFD).

For Credibility this name I got it from Cabdilah Jawaan when he was talking about historical affairs that he witnessed in Somaliland 90s and early 2000....he mentioned shankaroon republic as one of the 14 proposed names of the new republic.

Shankaroon doesn't sound kosher. It belittle the other Somali and their struggle against colonial powers. There is also a contradiction in the name itself. SHAN testifies to the fact that all the land inhabited by Somali was divided into five by european gumeysi. And to celebrate the independence of a former British colony by choosing such name sound somehow. ..houseNiggerish [to coin a phrase]

Yes I do believe they can get along seriously. border issue will never end as long as Somaliland sovereignty is not recognized by The UN. And puntland will always remain less powerful than Somaliland to achieve their hartism goal. In other words both States will suffer the flip-flopping problems for generations , one have no recognized boundaries and the other have no reliable partners who can help them drive Somaliland out of Harti lands. The best solution is puntland should declare it's independence and the two should form a new Republic , Somalia will probably give up their paper based claim, and the flip-floppers will have no a place to defect from or switch to. Sounds too good to be realistic isn't it? well it's easier than uniting puntland and Mogadishu properly !

That's a bit of a leap. How did we get to Somaliweyn? I thought the topic is about SOMALILAND? This attitude of accusing people of been Somaliweyn Sympathiser is becoming quiet boring.

Sorry about that, but you confused me when u mentioned the colonials and ''houseniggros'' in ur previous explanation whereas Somaliland was reborn in 1991 putting the idea of somaliyweyen to rest hence my preference to chose shankaroon.

as for geeska africa, somehow I am not inclined to naming countries,provinces or cities based on their geographical location like south africa, ama waqooyi galbeed feels like they were out of names or didnt agree on one and selected a practical name that all agree on.

also, with that name,the world knows Djbouti and the rest of Somalia with that title....so again we didnt accomplish anything as we wanted to selected a distinguished name.
