Vietnam

How would you know what on Earth was in your food?

You could have just chowed down on a bloody bat, snake, macaque suqaar

I hope to be able to do things like that. For now, it's been all inclusives in central america and trips around Africa (I've so far been to Djibouti, Nairobi, Addis, Arusha, Dar, Zanzibar, Lubumbashi) and of course going around SLand...Not too exotic here yet lol. With a good budget, you live very well and are catered to so I think that's great in and of it's own since I like the 5 star within Africa (Sheratons and Kempenski resorts) style.
I have been to Lubumbashi a few years ago. Took a car from Kitwe and we spent a few days in Kibushi and Tumbwe. I was struck by the number of western Multionational companies which were doing doggy business there. There are some good resorts in Zambia, Kongo and Zimbabwe but they are very expensive and generally not well taken care of. There are many Somali businesses in that region - and in Zambia in particular, there are families that had lived there since independence.

But Africa is dangerous and I wouldn't risk to be there for a whole month (probably North Africa; Sub-saharan Africa is dangerous)

P.s. Visit Luanda, if you have time; just for two days , that is if you can find a hotel room. It takes 3-6 months to reserve a 3-5 star hotels. It is the Dubai of Africa.

There is something called a menu

The BALUT (fertilised egg/embryo of a duck/chicken) is a favourite of many tourists. I love their shrimps.

besides, I live in Indonesia and Singapore.

Hada waxaan joogaa UK

Istanbul/Ankara; 3 bedroom apt 100 000-150 000 US dollars. Very cheap. In other towns, 50-70 000 will buy you a house.

Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia waa good work destinations ; I have been to all over south Asia. Laakin Vietnamn, Burma, Cambodia and Vietnam were holiday destinations fiican.

P.s Brexit iyo dadka maxaa kala haaysta? Houses will be very cheap in the UK. Faqrinimo ayaa ku soo socota.
I would 1000% invest in real estate in Turkey, it was always a dream of mine to buy property there, or Malaysia. I put my efforts into KL first but Turkey is still very close to my heart...now more then ever. These low property prices make it even more attractive, despite Turkey playing such vital geopolitical role in the region..which makes me nervous of all the plotted scheme it may fall into. I hope Allah keeps that land and it's beautiful people safe..Aamiin!

I strongly recommend a month long holiday to Vietnam. The busy and lively cities ; Hanoi, Ho chi min (Saigon) and the dozens of others. Take the "Hồ Chí Minh trail":

+
History
The food and drinks are xaax
The xaawaleeys :lawd:
The people are great (no grudge) -although very few speak English
The price is cheap. An excellent meal and drinks costs less than 10 dollars.

-
-too crowded
- vice is spread
- The smell of poverty
-Dangerous roads

Next year, Peru (mountains); imagine a month living outside the realm of modernity !!

Back to work on Monday.

Lamagodle,

Tell me more about your travels in Central Asia. I am thinking of traveling to Samarkand to visit the tomb of Timurlane. I also wanted to visit Tajikistan, and Azeribijan.

Haywire, my HAG relatives who have visited Peru have loved it. I am told of at least two dozen HAG emigrants who live in Peru, Bolivia, Colombia and Ecuador. South America is ample for investment opportunities.

In Africa, I highly recommend visiting the Comoros. Gorgeous islands off the beaten path. Just beware of the Sixir factor single ladies.

horta why are somalis scared of new food?
food is to be explored and enjoyed.
I would practically eat anything..
If you are worried about halaal, there are sea food and vegetarian options.
dont be afraid, explore meet the people interact, this is where all the fun is..

I regret not seeing more of africa, and latin america is my last uncharted territory..
