Yes, just last week there was a woman on Universal advertising her products. She was educating Somali women on how to take care of their skin. Started off with dissuading them from lightening their skin then went on to tell them that her products "wasakhda iyo madowga ey wijiga ka dhaqan" :childplease:
I actually LOL'd at that. Shes just a business woman selling her products. She dont care

It always takes me by surprise when I step outside of my immediate family and see just how prevalent skin lightening is and the more I pay attention to the language we use around skin tone the more respect I have for dark skinned Somali girls who have stayed true to the skin they were put in by Allah

  Smh these Somali channels should stop advertising these bleaching creams. Tbh wax Soomaaliyad soo walwalaaqday uma dhawaan lehayn.

Have you seen that dark skinned sister in that Somali challenge video :lawd: :lawd: I give her 8 I would give her 10 if she didn't talk like 2 years old

Cherine, not talking about wont solve ur sister's problem. I hope she grows out of it and accept her self.
Yes, I did see the girl in question, and I must agree, she looks mighty fine. As for the higlighted part of your comments, personally, I could not have asked more in a Xaliimo than qurux iyo caqli aan saa ubadneyn.

The irony is that she was being all high and mighty about how we need to stop our women from using lightening chemicals on their skin. Waa yaab
