The Horn of African people are originally from northern Egypt and in pursuit of better pasture (due to climate change) they moved down along the Nile pushing Nilotic groups down too.

Christianity, and the arrival of Islam through the Arabs definitely had impact on the modern Somalis. Whatever happened we know as a result we became Muslims, and have one single language- Somali. The fact that we are all Muslims, speak the same language, and look the same--tells me we are not an old specie like the Ethiopians. The Ethiopians existed hundred and hundreds of years before the existence of Somalis. This tells me--we can trace our existence from one source, a tribe that relocated in Somalia, and through out generations--the tribes became complex and vast. Now, the question is --where did the tribe originate from? Ethiopians? Arab Yemenis? Or Egyptians ?

Question: What do u mean Ethiopia- Abbysinia part? I thought Abbysinia is another name for Ethiopia? In the Bible and Quran, Abbysinia is mentioned a lot, its modern day Ethiopia. (also in Jane Austen novels by the way lol)

I have visited Egypt twice the ancient Egyptians used the hangool one thing I know somalilanders back in ancient time used to trade with the ancient Egyptians. The migration of northern cushitic and Erythrean happen at the same time, around 10,000 BCE. Since the Erythreans did not leave Northern Africa which was primarliy E1b1b they have had no influence.

Cushitic and Erythrean shared one ancestor called Afro Asaitic, when the Erythreans found the sinai they spilt into three groups, Eygptians due to the Nile, Berber and Proto Semitic which happened around 4000 BCE to 3500BCE.

The area was all different Cushitic peoples who spoke a near like common language that was written and easily readable at one point and when the Arabic Islamic religious influences came much later in the regions then the languages naturally added Arabic influences to the speech.
I’d say the Cushitic people were then as of now culturally diverse in genetics and traditions as well as with all people full of many individuals.
