I am not a fan of Arabs and their Military base on shores the Persian Arab wars is not in our interest and Egypt should stay away from us as far as they can all they want is to threaten our Brothers in Ethiopia. Only the UAE Business deal i am open for it not an Army base for the Arabs on our shores, the Islamic republic is not our enemy we dont have beef with them nor do we have beef with the Houthis.

You can't wish for arms when Oromo lack a unified and consensus agenda or front.

They neither have clear ideological or manifesto of a state.

Only some have an idea that they must fight Habesha or revenge Menelik but nothing more.

If Oromo wanted to succeed ruling Ethiopia and replace the TPLF they would have more international players ready to listen to them.

Really the Oromo deeply embedded in Abyssinian society cannot be ripped from their foundations like a small plant.

Their roots are too deep and the only solution is either Oromo takes leadership and invites Amhara or Amhara will storm Menelik palace with their Oromo sons of Wollo, Shoa and the Yejju family.

That only leaves the Arsi open to a yet new conquest.

Wellega is a swing state and they will play smart and go with the resurrection of Menelik, Gobana and Balcha.

You obviously don't want the Oromo armed due to your own irrational paranoia and hatred. We have a right to be armed and have our own army like any other nation. As long as you don't harm the Oromo, you won't be harmed either. The Oromo are beyond kind, generous and accommodating, even to our foes. We were the ones who protected Menelik when he escaped from tewodros the mad man. Without us, there's no Ethiopia.
The Oromo have clear goals: acquire self determination by any means necessary. We don't need anything but a small portion of us to be united, well armed, trained and dedicated for one cause.
The Amhara can help simply by making the TPLF army stretched thin by fighting on multiple fronts.
Other than that, the Oromo can do it alone.
Our protests stretched from shoa to borana land.
It's been consistent for over a year, it even temporarily established local governments in many areas in Oromia and. chased out the local TPLF cadres.
The amhara barely started we have yet to hear what they've accomplished yet. You have the right to be biased towards the amhara even idolize them if you want, but don't over exaggerate. It's far from predictable, regarding the situation on the ground. And they haven't destroyed TPLF yet.

What TPLF army?
There is the Ethiopian army which is full of Amhara and Oromo.
The Tigray population is slightly smaller than the Somali population.

In a rebellion, you will face your own sons who will kill you on behalf of the regime.
IF Ethiopia disintegrates, the most disciplined force wins, that is Amhara.

So as Awraastale said, you should bow down to your future amhara masters.

Secession is big mainly on the Afran Qallu, Bale, Borana and Arsi. Of them all only Arsi carries some weight. Afran Qallu are like chameleon and they change ethics every other week depending on who has the torch between Somalis or Oromo.

Some Borana like Gabra/Gerri also flip sides.

So forget them they are useless and were never conquors.

The real warriors are the Shoans, Arsi, Wollo and those in Wellega.

They want more equality across Ethiopia but never secession.

You have always been very negative towards the aspirations of the great and noble Oromo nation, so do not get surprised if my words seem like verbal darts. Whether in real life or online, I will never be scared to challenge the enemies of the Oromos.

waving a flag means nothing if their people aren't free and tigray still controls big parts of fertile amhara lands.
what's more important, having your proper land and people intact, or waving a flag?
i never mentioned secession i just said we need the oromo to be well-armed, well-trained and controlling their own affairs and administration.
i am from the mighty macca oromo clan which stretches all the way from wallaga to the areas of jimma, even west as far as close to the sudanese border. we are about 14-15 million strong.
the tigrayans do not fear the amhara, they hate them. there is a difference between hatred and fear.
the amhara nationalism is still in its infancy because up until recently they were hiding behind ''ethiopian'' nationalism which is a mask for amhara culture, language, religion, customs, mores, and so on. it was more advantageous to hide behind ethiopia so they could rally oromos and others to fight for them while they sit back and don't work. oromo nationalism is more potent and dangerous than amhara nationalism which is still a baby.

but since 1991 the ethnic federalism made them realize, finally, that they have no choice but to mobilize along the lines of amhara ethnicity if they wish to be free from TPLF/tigrayan hegemony. nobody will rescue them but themselves.
don't forget---when the tplf first invaded somalia, their first target were the OLF training camps in aideed-controlled territory.
that was their first fear not al shabab or al-ithihad or other somalis with pick up trucks and guns.
