Don't trust the Oromos

Well in the short term a powerful Oromo is bad news for the Somalis living on the border line between us the Oromos land dispute between the two is an avoidable. At the other hand Oromos are actually paving the way for the Somali freedom movements especially the ONLF who can rise their head up if the Oromos keep putting their lives in the front line. Every Oromo person who sacrifices his life during this struggle is saving atleast 6 Somali lives who could have died for the same outcome . Their victory against the habashis means total freedom for the Somalis as well. The bridge between Ethiopia and Somalis is Oromia, to see a free Somalis that bridge must be inaccessible for the habashis .

we will share dire dawa, harar, and other disputed lands.
trust me----after losing so many loved ones to a war of liberation---the last thing we will want to do is fight again over some land.
the somalis will have to compromise. so will the oromo. it's a give and take situation.
one somali governor rules dire dawa for 4 years. then an oromo does the same.
the official working languages shall be afaan oromo + the somali language and perhaps arabic.
as long as oromia is occupied, somalia + ogadenia will also face the same fate.
they will use us against each other and foment conflict between us such as garre vs borana, ogaden vs oromos, ogadenis vs other clans, etc.

Totally agree. Too bad all I can contribute is pray for your victory. We Somalis are too small and too divided to make a noise right now. As the biggest and oppressed ethnic group in the country it's your responsibility to free yourselves and others at the bottom. those Somalis against you do not represent us. Ignore them. tigrays got into power in the first place because they had Oromo support and promised equality for all ethnic groups and Oromos actually bought it so you see it has nothing to do with Somalis hating Oromos.
