It's tiring ( even though I love the work) I also happen to have an extremely critical supervisor (the woman who is supposed to judge me based on my performance in about.. 12 weeks) So no matter how hard I work, it never seems good enough for her even though I'm getting good feedback from the rest of the team.
Sounds like your manager is trying to be a tough task-master. Treat them lean, keep 'em lean approach. But it seems to me that you are working harder and better because of it, even if you do not realise it yourself. Maybe she's just trying to teach you the proper way of 'doing things'... whatever it is that you're doing in your field of work.
Do you think it's better to be nice, or brutally honest? Would you rather that someone is critical to your face, or behind your back?
