Not a big deal , Somaliland should close the useless ministry called "religion ministry" and ban the Wahaabi group that calls itself " xuma la dagaalaka iyo samo falka" its just a translation of the Saudi group's " Hay'da Al-amr bil-macruuf Wal-nahi cala-munkar" a disgusting intrusive , abusive , religious fanatics who go around with short mumo-mumo dress , Saudi checkered headscarf and a bamboo flogging stick forcing people to pray , scrutinizing who is dating who and what women is walking around seductively or with no Bara or sheer diric.

The building of churches and the proselytizing of Christianity in Somalia was one of the main reasons for the Darwiish jihad.
This time we should leave them to what their fathers and grand fathers accepted. :)

No this church has ictiraaf from the international community. It has been recognised as an independent church. It will promote the cause of SL at the UN.

LoDoon wrote:OP your opinion or that of anyone else on this matter of kufaar institutions in Hargeisa is not worth a beeysteen aka shit. Whether you or anyone else supports a church in somaliland or not is inconsequential. What is irrefutable (oo ah xiniinyaha Jemuuriyada) is The Constitution of the Republic of Somaliland and what it says about matters of religion.
FYI! This is what the constitution of The Republic says:

Article 5: Religion

1. Islam is the religion of the Somaliland state[12], and the promotion[13] of any religion in the territory of Somaliland, other than Islam, is prohibited.

2. The laws of the nation shall be grounded[14] on and shall not be contrary to Islamic Sharia.

3. The state shall promote religious tenets (religious affairs) and shall fulfil Sharia principles and discourage immoral acts and reprehensible behaviour[15].

[13] This prohibition covers prostelysing and any public advancement or possibly even public manifestation of another religion.

Therefore, if it is true that a church had been built in Hargeisa or anywhere else in somaliland it must be bulldozed and raised to the ground immediately (preferably with a massive implosion) or else The Constitution is no more, devoid, DEAD and with it the country.
There is NO Somaliland if any other belief system manifests in the territories of Somaliland.
Its not impossible to change the constitution

I don't know if they use a normal house as a church but I assure you there are no churches here; masaajidii baa lagu baxsan la'yahay, waaba kaniisade!

Anyway, if Muqdisho and Djibouti have churches, must Hargeysa have it as well?

If there are Christians in hargeysa they should have their holy house. Not just for the sake of it or to copy neighbouring countries.

I realized that the so called " New " reer Hargeisa have no clue about Hargeisa. The church of Padau was open almost 20 years ago not now.

Tell me:-

1) Where in earth a mosque, synagogue, temple or even church has been opened to serve backpackers or Aid workers?!!

2) Is there any Christian Somalilander left?

It will make more sense if Somaliland construct temple instead for Syed X.Playa.

The church is located behind the CID. Imagine what will happen if someone blow it. The church should be demolished and the land given to CID.
