The idea that there is some big, all powerful ET character sitting somehwhere up in the skies who controls everything here like a puppeteer
is frankly rather ludicrous. Where is this big guy? What is he made of? more importantly if everything has a maker and things cannot appear out of nothing then who made god?

Surely you cannot argue that everything must have been made by something and then say God has no maker?

God is Harry Pooter territory. He is used as a scare-crow to control, mould and manage people through a simple combination of terror and promises of rewards in this life and the (fictitious) second one.

Believing in God is like in any other mythical chracter in a children's story. It is actually rather surprising that so many people still literally believe in his existence

The world's most prominent (in a scholarly sense) atheist, Sir Anthony Flew, has publicly abandoned his atheism! He has not come to atheistic position as such (yet) but rather regards himself as a deist, something like Thomas Jefferson was.

I have respected Flew for years becaause of his intellectual honesty. He is the furthest thing from a light-weight!

The reason for abandoning atheism was the inabillity for atheistic science to account for the origin of life. Hes is intrigued by the Intelligent Design movement and it's proponents.

I remember first thing I said was "Oh God! Sir Anthony Flew himself"!

Of course this is a far cry from the God Christians and Muslims believe in. Flew is not a thesit. BUT, the step he has taken is a huge one from his earlier position. His interest in Inteligent Design is a big boost for that movement.

My Atheists friends here... Don't stop too soon ...Keep searching for the truth.

I have few Atheist friends and they are really great people and Intelligent they use their brain to prrof or deny God's existance! Because most people are Muslims because they born from Muslim family, Or Christian cause their parents were Christians!.

The Atheist on other hand is some one who left that blindly following of what his/her parents believe. He/she uses their intelligent to proof or deny God's existence. Not too bad to me. If the Atheist person is objective with their searches sincerely without prejudices! I salute them as long as they keep searching. Some times takes life time . Believe me I've been there or so close. I know what I am talking about

OH MY GOD, I had no idea there were so many infidels among us. This is seriously regrettable. How can you call yourselves atheists when Allah has given you a brain to think and eyes to see? How can you reject the truth after being shown evidence and perhaps taught the Quran. Seriously, you must repent for your sins for Allah is most forgiving, most merciful. Have you any idea how many scientists converted to Islam after reading the Quran? Seriously, little knowledge is dangerous – you should at least seek more knowledge and make an informed decision about your faith.

Even scientists agree there was a present “force” in the creation of the universe. Don’t dismiss the truth, just because you can’t see it with your own eyes. There are many things you’ve never seen and will never see that exist. May Allah guide you and help you see the light and truth.

Please, don’t call yourselves atheists because you think its fashionable. And, if you think hell won’t be too bad because you’ll hear Michael Jackson perform live, then you may be surprised to find no music.

REPENT, and REPENT soon before it’s too late and don’t deny the favours of your Allah.

I am neither an Atheist nor Muslim because I was born from Muslim family. I came a Muslim because I found that Islam is the true message of Allah since Adam to Mahamem.

Evolution theor is NOT 'speculative' theory. Not anymore. It is established and demonstrated scientific FACT. Like theory of gravity, it is a FACT.

I'm all for being open minded and give all theories equal considerations. I have done so. But have you? Can you tell me what EXACTLY about evolution theory you don't agree with?

Have you heard of logical fallacy called Argumentum Ad Verecundiam?

You're trying to say becuz a renowned athiest found God, athiesm is wrong and/or God exists. That is not true. Example:

1. Mr. Flew is (claimed to be) world renowned atheist
2. Mr. Flew says God exists and atheism is false
3 Therefore, there is God

Can we logically make conclusion 3 based on the premises 1 and 2? No we can't.

Sorry, Here I disagree with you , We believe everyone is born pure and good, and and tawheed (natural inclination to believe in God) this is called the FITRAH, the nature of every human being, without influence from anything. In addition, this is why we say everyone is born Muslim, and it is their parents that make him/her into a Jew or Christian etc. All children raised in a Muslim or non-Muslim family who die in their childhood are not questioned by God and admitted into Paradise.

Again, you are avoiding to answer my questions: Forget about Islam and Muslims for a minute and tell me why you reject God?
