Wearing these Muzzie blankets causes somali women to develop a peculiar funky musky smell. Every time I pass Somali women I get a whiff of this stench and cardniom, coriander and ofcourse cumin, imagin such potion in a bus in summer time :damn:
What about you gaalos who hardly wash their xaar? You stink from miles and miles away. And especially, the people who eat dogs and cats, they're known to have the worst kind of smell.

Lagaroone Inna-Uurdoox who is well-known in DC and Toronto area, I repeat the people who don't wash their xaar and eat dogs and cats can't talk about bad smell. Look at yourself in the mirror, you dog-eating Budha slave.

Let women wear what they want haha, fashion evolves mate, two generations from now a Somali designer can design something new and fresh which might get traction in the west.

obviously clothes is a statement of who you are and I personality do not like the massive tents, but let it be, when something better becomes popular people will follow that trend.

The shame is in your kind. You find the cheek to insult women like a god-forsaken street urchin. What have you achieved in your life?

All the male posters on this thread talking about women's attire need some perspective in life. Pick up a book on manhood, for starters.

Why? Why must you be a traitor to the somali culture? It's not only you it's all of us but we can change. Pick up your guntiino and pick up your afro and I'll pick up my white robes and get my stick out. Do we have a deal?

I don't see anything wrong with burkhaas ! I mean, I would personally prefer a simple hijab--on the head accompanied by black bui bui from the shoulder downward. a sort of khaamiss for women, only it is black. SO that u can catch up with the modern busy on the run lifestyle The burkhaas can be great for older women over 65
