I wish I could write a response to your points. I am extremely busy and will be in the coming months.
Just want to make a point;
I seek answers to socio-economic questions from the LEFT. I am actually a Marxist in my thought process. So your assertion of "neo-liberal" is nonsense. Marx was my surname, Hegel my middle name and Angels my first name

I am almost making the same kind of arguments that Marx once made; describe the statues quo.
I am neither an economist nor a sociologist ( pseudo-sciences) so my points are merely based and grounded in reality.
I am a pragmatist and a realist. We could have an ideological discussion and I am sure that I engage in that but that is not the point.
The meal of the matter is that whether we want or not, we live in a world where capitalism is the norm. The dollar is the currency of the world. Despite a discourse on its fall (and hitherto) the end of US hegemony, there are currently no alternatives; or there is no take-off for alternatives.
What you forget my friends is that YOU ARE REASONING as if SOMALIA/LAND are countries that can engage in the global economy. Corruption, abject poverty and all other ills characterise our society and country. We have Moryaanomics; printing money (own) will not solve our problems.
As Gureey mentioned, we have already a dollar economy. The only thing that the shilling serves is cater to the "ruling class" to paraphrase Jaalle Marx. They can print as much as they can because the currency is worth the cost of printing. But it is consumers that suffer.
True, in economic theory (theory), taking control of monetary mechanisms and carrying out your own policy is a good approach.. but WE ARE NOT IN THE REALM of that. We do not have institutions ...
Grand-Khalif ; LOL: That is below the belt (oops); old and pseudo.
