I was there for a month to take care of family affairs, (reer apti) and i have had the most fun in my life.
survived an alshabaab bombing, was only 200m away.
was in a gunfight with muggers.
hanging out with dirty woqoyi that were family, and loads of other politicians.

trust me Hargiesa is boring, come down to xamar,..

sadly my wife is racist and hates southerners and will not agree to live in xamar,
i a working on it though, i plan to move her in stages, from a few months in hargiesa, then a visit to xamar.

I believe this has less to do political maneuvering and more with you missing the old 'Adventuretimes with Gurey'

These motherfucers have no conception of what Somaliweyn is. They do not care for it. It has always been us emotional woqooyis who were lured by Somaliweyn narrative like moths to flame. It looks amazing on paper but if no one else is interested why should we even discuss it?

The fact that they were allowed to amass such fortunes is beyond any logic. What with inflation and yearly droughts and high unemployment. These talks are not for IC consumption, it makes little difference to them. The international community was very close to recognising Somaliland several times in the past. The talks are for closing ranks ahead of final talks with Zoomalia.

In my parents generation, they were more westernized than the north , there was a cafe culture, cinemas playing italian movies.
Northerners were seen as hilbillies savages from the countryside.
the roles are reserved, in any business that requires any etiquette and customer service, they fight over isaaq and dhulo employees.

yes i had allot of fun, more fun than Lagos and Kano in 2009.

alxamdulilah my semi retirement is over.
you can only do so much gardening and lounging at the beach..
i was becoming too australian, even started to get obsessed over aussie rules football,
and joined a cricket team.
im back in dubai, but very mobile..
half my time is spent in Somaliland, i will definitely go back to xamar.
