The agazie peoples are native to Ethiopia. The word habesha did not originally specify an ethnicity but more of a profession. It means incent gatherer in ge'ez. The word Ethiopia has been documented and used inside Ethiopia since at least 300ce. It shows up in The Book of Aksum ( a collection of historical texts) which ranges from 300-1200 ce. The oldest parts describe a legendary character known as ethiopis, a son of cush, who is said to be the founder of Aksum and its peoples. It also names the country as Ethiopia and its people as agazie. The use of habesha in Ethiopia may have occured as Aksum receded and incent gathering became a dominant form of income. I'm thinking it could have occured around 450 ce with the ending of the Aksum dynasty.

gurey

Then will u say---eritria and Somalia are both descendants from qahtani tribes? That would make us --unfortunately---pure arabs. That is if u r not discounting the afars and oromos in our universal somali blood which is responsible for our dark skin! :eat:

If Isaaq and Darood clans claim to be from Arabs according to their tradition that would make them Adnani

Thamud Arabs perished, they are not Qahtanis.

Qahtan came after them!

Pure Arabs have always been described as being dark skinned (obviously not Negro) but dark skinned Semites none the less.

Modern Arabs have little resemblance to ancient Arabs, the advent of Islam and following Caliphates caused a massive influx of foreign genes into the Arabian peninsula.

To get close to the ancient Arab physical appearance, you might see it in Bedouins (maybe 3 out of 10 of them) the rest are mostly mixed with Circassians, Turks, Persians and Africans.
