The Derg regime in Ethiopia was overthrown in 1991, how was it possible for the Derg troops to accompany the SNM when the EPLF and TPLF were encroaching Addis Ababa? Never mind the fact that Afweyne signed a peace treaty with Mengistu in 1988 in which Mengistu expelled the SNM from Ethiopia.
Cheap Faqash propaganda.

You're not making sense.
Afweyne signed away the Somali region in exchange for peace with Ethiopia. In the peace treaty Mengistu was obliged to expel SNM from Ethiopian territory which He did.
Are you telling me that Mengistu who was being attacked from all sides by encroaching EPLF and TPLF sent his troops to accompany the SNM in 1991 when he himself fled Ethiopia for Zimbabwe?
Stupid Faqash rat, your propaganda is illogical.
i give credit where it's due ya ilma Soomal. is it safe to say the isaaq maybe the best at organizing/mobilizing their people politically, among somalis?AwRastaale wrote: Sun May 21, 2017 7:33 am SNM fought hard like true warriors.
Today we celebrate their victory and we recognise our brothers SSNM (Biyomaal) and USC.
Ethiopians is ethiopians nevertheless, your trying to hide away the fact that these people were massacred by SNM that were backed by ethiopians in borama and dilla, 1991.Xildiiid wrote: Sun May 21, 2017 10:59 am ^

Well we defeated Barre for a reason. The rest are just talk and hardly ever won any realistic battle.Waachis wrote: Sun May 21, 2017 12:31 pmi give credit where it's due ya ilma Soomal. is it safe to say the isaaq maybe the best at organizing/mobilizing their people politically, among somalis?AwRastaale wrote: Sun May 21, 2017 7:33 am SNM fought hard like true warriors.

Ethiopian foreign policy and the Ogaden War: the shift from "containment" to "destabilization," 1977–1991
Department of History, Jimma Jimma University, Ethiopia
This optimistic, may be even, triumphalist declaration was to prove premature. Just four months later, the Derg itself was no more, finally overwhelmed and chased from power by the multiple internal rebellions it had been unable to quell over the previous two decades. The Derg may have defeated Somalia, but Ethiopia’s own internal rebellions had finally defeated the Derg. Seen in this light, the destabilization in Somalia that Ethiopia fomented under the Derg seems a less successful strategy, as it has proved to be a significant element in the ongoing challenges that subsequent Ethiopian Governments have faced on the country’s southeastern frontier. Even after the fall of the Derg, Ethiopia is still paying a heavy price for its "destabilization” strategy in Somalia.
