u have asked too many questions huuno. First, Somalis are reer miyi. They don't believe in 'counselling' or therapy. That to them is shuquul gaalo. Second, the idea of sending lost kids to Somalia, tends to work I will have to agree. It removes them from their environment, and takes them to a place where the culture is harsh and basic. Therapy and counselling is a theoratic reformations, as for the Somalia tarhir is a practice, sensible option. When a kid is thrown into a boring village type culture, where everybody knows everybody, they tend to become the villagers and thus away from balwaad.

Looking at the bright side, suicide is haram. But God knows best. The bright side is, the kid died young, and a muslim. What does this mean? It means, He had few dhambis because of his age upon death. He is a Muslim who will go to paradise eventually. And he is away from Sheytaan whispering and shenanigans in this pathetic dhuunya! . AUN

Quran Saar is the act of reading verses from the book wth the belief that it will cure a persons ailments.

A holly book. Not just a book u buy from amazon.com There are surahs and dua, holly prayers in it. U have to belief for the effect to take place. :eat:
Even if an effect is produced it does not mean it's the Quran that's doing it, this kind of effect is well known in the medical field it's called the placebo effect. I've seen people drink zamzam water for all kinds of ailments and through belief convince themselves they were healed. The human mind is really powerful and can work wonders if you lie to it and make it believe in something that is not true. It's all about turning your lie into a belief and the more you believe the more you create the placebo effect which will eventually reinforce your lie and keep you in a constant state of denial.
Your wrong here my friend, the placebo effect can only go so far. Reciting the Quran works, it cures the spiritual ills of the heart that are not evident to us like other diseases would be. There are signs such as for example if someone is overcome by depression, it points greater spritual ailments and the Quran cures it. Similarly, it has been scientifically proven over and over again how patients who pray heel faster than those who dont, you can look it up. There is also something called spontaneous recovery which many doctors who have been in the medical profession will come across at least once, this is when a patient suffering from terminal illness of some sort somehow becomes cure with no medical explanation .... these patients to my knowledge are again people who believe in God and place religion or the connection with God as an integral part of their lives, that too has been documented look it up.
As for ZamZam water, tests after tests have proved that it is indeed a different kind of water not found anywhere else on earth, it is a positively charged water that contains a lot more energy than your average water, you can look up that too

Gifts & Basra- I agree with almost, if not everything you both wrote. lol@ shuqul gaalad

I think dhibta comes from ignorance and a lot of "waa ceeb" mentality.

So if (God forbid) your child goes through an atrocious life changing experience, (he/she got into an accident , for example) and they fell into a state of depression, would your only answer be, Quran saar?
I amnt against counselling. i think quraan is important as our nabi scw said its is a healing. but that doesnt mean we shouldnt seeking other therapies. Although, its better if you consult with a muslim therapist
