Halal slaughter is not different from western slaughter, it is just blessed in the name of allah, the rest of the process is practically the same. The west do something that we don't do, they stun the animal to stop it from moving when they cut its throat open.

They stun the animal to overwhelm it with pain to the point where it is immobilized, they do it so when they cut the throat they can hang it upside down and move the production line along without the animal moving. there are two issues with this, 1 is this type of meat healthy to eat, 2 is it fair to the animal.


the other procedure that is islamic is just cutting the throat, the animal bleeds out in few seconds, it moves frantically for few seconds because it suffocates because to cut the two main blood vessels you also prevent the animal from breathing normally, the animal loses consciousness from loss of blood faster than the pain of suffocating sets in, and it dies experiencing less pain that being stunned. It doesn't look pretty, but doesn't mean its more painful.

I don't have a problem with what ever procedure they use, stunning or doing it directly, I know one produces more pain than the other through the trauma the stun guns inflicts on the animal. However my issue is the factory like way of doing it, the animals see other animals getting killed, they see the blade getting sharpened, the hear everything, all this distress is sickening, and also the way they raise the animals and pump them with drugs its disgusting. USA, Australia, New Zealand are some of the biggest beef producers in the world, muslim countries are way down in the list, literally you cannot even compare them.
