I remember a few years ago stopping by Berbera airport on my way back from Xamar when I bumped into a group of Saudi gardheers...we got talking and I asked them what they were doing there and they told me that they come to SL every year for a few weeks to do dawa. Lool doing dawa to one of the few places in the world that is 100% muslim. It was a code word for salafisation. This has been going on for a few years and no one has been paying attention.

Salafising places is a key part of Saudi foreign policy and a cornerstone of their soft power.
