Muqdisho leaves har-GAYS city in the dust

I am not taking anything away from hargiesa but the city is settled primarily by one clan and it has not seen 1/10th of the two decade long violence Xamar has. We didn’t even have pictures of the mugadisho 7 years ago, but it has grown exponentially in the span of a short period of time not to mention the city being the Capitol for all people from kismaayo to bosaaso.

Boon marehan should not be concerned with either Hargeisa or Mogadishu, they belong to the region with a single functioning high school known as Gedo.

Though I must highlight the sheer ignorance in the post above. Hargeisa was completely flattened by the aerial bombardment and ground attacks, the BBC described it as the "Dresden of Africa". The city was 90% destroyed according to US diplomats. Mogadishu faced prolonged civil war between clans/warlords, whereas Hargeisa faced the full might of the US-backed Somali Armed Forces along with hired mercenaries.

No other Somali city in history faced as much destruction as Hargeisa.

And yet look where we are.

Not to mention that Hargeisa is only a 130 year old city compared to Mogadishu that’s 1500 years old.

Isaaq wealth built Hargeisa and in the future it will surpass all the other cities in the Horn of Africa.

Hargeisa was built by Somali's , mogadishu was established by Arabs , built by Italians , and has been maintained by international community ever since the Italians left .

Hargeisa is a real Somali city. Mogadishu is a project with huge backing by international community who badly wanted Somali's to unite so they can exploit everyone centrally.

Hawiyes may inhabit mogadishu, but mogadishu is NOT a Somali city. It was founded by Arabs , built by Italians, and then international community. Hawiye just live in it. Hargeisa was actually built by Somali's.

Muqdisho is still a shythole third world city, i was apalled by the ugly cite all around me my last trip coming from Nairobi which was another shythole then. By then again i was a kid at that last visit.

Mogadishu stands near the old settlement of the Cushitic people who use to inhabit southern Somalia. Somali's aren't native to the mogadishu area , we left the north sometime after 3rd or 4th century. We pushed these southern Cushitic even further south. Sarapion was ancient trade post that traded with kingdoms as far away as Rome. After the Somali's pushed these people out we didn't set up a trading Post on the level of Sarapion. Arabs came and establish mogadishu in 10th century with the help of the local Somali's who moved south. That trading village eventually grew into Sultanate of Mogadishu
