This is the letter he sent to the British when he was exiled begging for forgiveness. They use his exile as a evidence for his nationalism. Which is utter rubbish.
Lets go back to 1908. In 1908 this sultan with few of his Warsangali allied themselves with the dervish. The dervish used them to punish, loot and massacre the Dhulbahante.
Ibraahim Buqul an Adan Madoobe dervish commander was assigned to the Warsangali land. He essentially run the dervish command in all of Sanaag from 1908 to 1920.
In 1910 this sultan double crossed the dervish and he along boqor Osman attacked a small dervish fort in Badhan. What followed was a total massacre. The battle is called Habar Humbule meaning swaggering elder senior citizen in reference to the Warsangali challenging the dervish. Buqul attacked both the majeerteen and Warsangali routing their forces.
From 1914 to 1916 the dervish allied themselves with the much numerous Gadhweyn looting and massacring the tiny Warsangali.
Ibraahim Buqul was the master of Las Qori and much of Warsangali land. In 1916 the dervish Gadhweyn majority overrun laas Qori reducing the entire Warsangali into destitute 500 died of starvation ( I have few images after the brit rescued them) .
Their entire history is fan-fiction, lies that they repeated enough times that they pretend now to be real history.
Unfortunately for the doofaars, we have the entire history documented in the archives of the Brits, Italians and French, based on hundreds of interviews and real on-the-ground fact finding that is not pushing the narrative of any one Somali clan.
They have no answer for the begging letters that virtually all darod elders regularly sent their respective colonial powers. Begging for arms, for food, for protection, begging the colonial forces to be allowed to fight for them (!!), begging for gifts (in the case of Sayid Siigeyste). An entire history of beggary and servile calaacal, yet the same doofaars have the cheek today to claim they were diehard freedome fighters
Buqul who wanted to capture thus Shire failed and this sultan fled on a rickety small boat to Aden shoeless. Later the British fleet bombarded Las Qori heavily and pushed the Isaaq dervish out.
Isaaq completely destroyed this man.
First, they made him disabled when Sanaag Isaaq shot him in the kneecap like some sicilian mafioso so he could never walk again.
Then they attacked him and made him flee on a boat to Aden.
Do you know what else they did? They fucked his wife and impregnated her. Poor sod was told the news whilst in exile that an Isaaq man (Muse Abokor or Muse Ismaaciil) made his wife preggo
Now here is the comedy the poor fugitive Shire arriving in Aden sends a thank you letter to the Brits who saved his people from total annihilation. The letter arrived mistakenly to the anti slavery society causing confusion as to thus clan that they were unaware off that suffered slavery in Somaliand. Lol.
I should find the letter its much more servile then the one you quoted.
So much for Daarood heroes. Utter embarrassment.
