Islam is not a part-time practice. Forget it from a piety reason, why do people wanna harm their persons by killing their brain cells smoking this stuff is beyond me.
I'd like to see a single study showing Marijuana causes brain cell damage.
It doesn't. It's been proven not to. Somalis are pretty hypocritical what's the difference between marijuana and khat? Soon as you ask a Somali that they start stuttering and going but but but. If khat was grown right and Somalis stopped chewing the garbage ethiopians and Kenyans send them maybe khat would get them higher , who knows? So far more studies have been conducted on marijuana than khat. We know marijuana isn't harmful. What do we know about khat though?
Also khat has no good uses besides chewing and no known medical benefits. You can grow marijuanas cousin, hemp, which is cheaper and better material than cotton. This is the real reason marijuana was banned in america. Hemp can be used for almost anything from making paper even in old days ships use to make the ropes attached to anchors out of hemp. It's cheap and a very good material.
We all know Somalis would swear khat is heaven sent if it had the slighest bit of medical benefit like they believe camel milk has, and chew even more than Somalis already do.
The last people on Earth who should be anti marijuana are somalis as my people unfortunately sit around and chew a natural plant with no medical benefits but look down on another natural plant with actual medical benefits
so its not haram, and not harmful ?

Many studies in many respectable journals have published marijuana affects in humans. Mayo Clinic, Harvard, NE Journal of Medicine, etc. There is nothing redeeming about smoking marijuana, especially during Ramadan. I was hard-pressed to find any helpful benefit about this drug, unless easing the pain of latter stages of cancer in patients can be considered helpful.

Why on the blessed month of Ramadan tho? Surely u can go a month without being under the influence. As a former weed head, I am telling u man life is much more enjoyable without the drug. It’s all fun and games until u realize u wasted so much precious time when ur full of potential. Give it a rest young man.

You need to take another look at those studies marijuana has medical benefits for much more than cancer. Glaucoma, epileptic seizures, Back pain / muscle pain , insomnia, stomach problems, and headaches which affect million of people. It's definitely better than taking pharmaceutical drugs any day of the week.
You don't have to get high off marijuana to use it's medical benefits either you can take what's called CBD which is marijuana without the THC (which is what gets you high) and it has almost the same medical benefits. Although if you have musle / joint or sleep issues you want the THC.
Can just 1 person point me to any medical benefit in khat?

Even smoking shisha is worse than weed. Shisha is worse for your lungs than cigarettes.
