Jaarso are an amalgamation of Oromo and Somali speaking peoples of Oromo and Somali clan origin.
Daarood persecution of Jaarso led to the Somali-speaking sections joining Oromia back in 2004.
These people are utter scum - They scream “Soomaaliyeey” when the chickens come home to roost.
Are Garre and Isaaq Darod as well?
Oromo and Isaaq do not interact with each other. we do not know them, very much, except for the oromos living in somaliland itself.
the awaday massacre, which was tragic and we oromos condemn it, was organized by desperate and furious oromos who just lost their entire immediate family to liyyu massacres. imagine you coming home to find that your mom, dad, baby sister, were all killed, by oromos?
i bet u would want revenge ASAP, even if it meant u had to target random oromo civilians who had nothing to do with it!!
is it right---NO!
is it understandable?---YES!
the jarso issue is different. they were not going to accept darood domination, they wanted to share power, the darood refused, so oromos welcomed them with open arms and love---so it's obvious they'd side with oromos.
garre and borana issues go back very far. garre began to deny their oromo identity when borana began to dominate everything politically.
remember, even the ajuurran speak our language. they were a part of our gadaa system.
