I’m not sure where Talo gets his news from but it’s far from the truth.

The Federal are in control and Abdi is under their custody.

Liyu fled from the city but once Federal get mandate to disarm them they will.

Right now their mandate was to secure all centres of Jigjiga, dispose a meeting that was to take place in the parliament and detain Abdi iley.

All achieved.

The city is calm now and not much movement.

We can't rely on other somalis, as you can see here and on social media in general, and even in real life, some, like you'd expect tbh, are actively helping the axmaaro. Ilay has committed crimes, and must face a retrospective punishment, but for now we need him and his militia. ONLF must seize this opportunity to work with them. It's ogaden vs the Ethiopia, as it always has been. A unity is a must right now, and past transgressions will not be forgotten, but any form of retribution mustbe on hold for now. We can't afford it.

Oromos tried to invade jigjiga this morning only to be driven out. Make no mistake, when the federal military rolls into the city, they won't be far behind and since oil has been discovered now in the region, breaking away will be a lot more difficult than it ever was.

The Somali region should use this opportunity to negotiate with the Ethiopian government for more seats in government. I say 35%. More say in the military and a Somali pm for all Ethiopia after this current one has ended his term. No matter what though the Somali people in the Somali region should stick together no matter what. I doubt this new prime minster will use force as he wants to promote himself as a peace loving leader to the rest of the world.

You don't understand.....the strategic balance has shifted.
This has been in the works for a long time.

The Ethiopians intend to crush all institutions and organised forces in the Somali region.
Only a united fighting force comprising all Somali's will have a chance......and even then the odds are not good.
I always said the tplf would throw Somali region to the Oromo/Amhara as they make their escape. :)
