We are camel people proud nomad soo maal means noomaad . As for canfar they are just unlucky their land is ruled by xabasha Ethiopians and xabasha Eritrean. I think they were tricked by xabasha . They are extremely underepresented in Ethiopia and Eritrea.

canfar and somali language are not similar I have many canfar and saho friends, they are original people of their lands they don't look mixed with anything. They hate eritrea and are pro-Abiye but they are fooled to think Abiye is on their side, he is habeshi dog.

i do not think their own state is realistic, as sad as that is... but maybe let those 3 states stop oppressing/marginalizing them... let them elect their own leaders and get their fair share of power/the pie... then all will be well InshaaAllah... the fat man in djibouti wants to eat every-bodies cake...
Waachis Obaleesii, the Somalis aren't oppressing the Afar, in fact Somalis are the oppressed just the same and are victims like the Afar themselves. They both alike are victims of their own way of life and their primary oppressor is the Camel. The Afar as well as the Soomaals, should stop following and ditch The Camel and embrace The Lo'life aka Bovine life and start farming. Because the Camel follower or Geeljiree thinks there’s water in its hump but they don’t carry Water, food, or hearts that thump, and that’s just why they're such a grump. And the disappointment makes them lash out and become aggressive towards their nearest and dearest (brothers/cousind and neighbours).
Should they adopt the Bovine herders way of life and start farming with devotion and love of the abundant white milk giving, God's gift that we call the cow and then give thanks for the green pastures, the seeds and the fruits of own labour they would obtaine the free state of mind and increased abilities (e.g. intelligence) to free themselves and live in peace with ownselves and with others. Ofcaurse this would take time and great dedication ( as Cow herding farming peoples this would come naturally so will patience) but they would know and say 'soon it's gonna come..." And free and with satisfaction they would live.
How else do you the Oromo had managed to free themselves and become their own leaders?
Obaleesii, make note any form of enslavement and oppression is after all said and done, by choice & Self Inflicted!!!!!
I do not think somalis in general are oppressing afar, just a few ciise somalis, who in no way, represent the ciise in particular, or the great somali nation in general...
so pardon me if it seemed that I implied anything differently sir...
farming is the way to go, is more sustainable, and nothing to be ashamed of...
i know somalis, historically, traditionally, looked down upon farming/farmers, but that's silly to me...
farming is how you feed nations, feed armies, sustain bigger families, which is how we oromos are so numerically strong (in addition to our traditions of adopting people we conquered, or didn't conquer-our genius for assimilation is under rated lol kkkk)
My brother, me thinks you have grudge against the Ciise Nation and freeing the "oppressed" Afar is secondary in your list of objectives.
Somali proverb: "... wadaad Baroortu Orgiga Ka Weyn!".
