Most of the people came back after the drought. However some stayed behind and enjoyed farming and free education. I think the remaining part left during the civil war. Togdheer it's only daroods in the south that hate Isaaq passionately the hawiyes do not hate isaaq they feed hawiye the nonsense that u Isaaq hates hawiye but it's accurate. If you see some hating in Somaliland he is 96 percent darood or has a darood mother.its always like that I have observed them. Hawiyes have mostly positive opinion on Somaliland or indifferent .

Most Daroods are indifferent to Somaliland bro, Marehan, Leelkase, majority of Ogaden, Awrtable etc you only have problems with Harti and some Ogadens on your border, but your pride does not allow you to tell the truth, so you want to make it Darood vs Isaac

like Dalolos stated most Darods living in the south don't give two shits about Isaaq, let alone hate them. Use your single cell brain, why would they even hate you, these niggas have their own shit to deal with like fighting Al-kabab.
The only Darods that have beef (and hostility) towards the Isaaq are the northern Harti, especially the Dhulbahante. And even we don't hate you we just don't wanna be apart of your Jeegan-land.
And please stop with your desperate propaganda its embarrassing, Hawiye want a united Somalia, I never met a single Hawiye that supports Somaliland's independence.
In fact it's the Isaaq that are filled with hatred and cuqdad for the Darod due to the events that transpired during Siad Barre's reign.

Majeeeteen have been anti afweyne and hated daroodismled by ogaden and marexaan two in the 1970s and 1980s. They had a rebel movement called ssdf. We briefly cooperated with them for about 8 months between 1979 and 1978. We have no beef with qurjiiles qurjis are loyal citizens of the holy sadaat republic. I have met over 25 hawiyes here in hargeysa and they love Somaliland and it's independence maybe you meet hawiyes who have darood relatives. All sort of hawiyes here in hargeysa from habargedir abgaal xawaadle gaaljecel.I saw here in hargeysa . Hawiye have nothing to lose with a recognized Somaliland it's only darood that cry with the biggest tear somaliyeed. And Hawiye no longer falls for cry from the darood they learned from the 2006 darood tigre alliance against Them
