The oil block deals in Somaliland was signed in 2012. 1 of the oil blocks I think it’s 13 which was given to Genel energy is due to start drilling oil this year. Because Genel was the first company to confirm there is oil, although they don’t know how much yet. This got other companies interested the UAE owned RAK gas company even asked for shares.
Let’s see how it unfolds. I know there is going to be a lot of complaining from the xasid people and paper government in Somalia.
