Regardless the elected president is Maduro and no one can replace him with a man that did not even contest the election and never campaigned.
But the good thing is , the Venezuelan working class and poor are fully well informed about the situation and the will defend their interest . If the socialist government is overthrown by the wealthy right wingers , then the consequence for the poor and working class is total destruction.
I think this time is different. Most of the countries in the region are recognizing Guaido. The EU is next.Maduro wrote: Juan "Guido". Pig-faced Pompeo.![]()

They already froze all the assets , that comes automatically with western sanctions . The unbelievable thing is Maduro asked for Venezuelan gold back from British banks and the British bank refused reasoning that Maduro will squander it. can you believe the audacity!!!FAH1223 wrote: Sat Jan 26, 2019 4:08 pmX.Playa wrote: Sat Jan 26, 2019 12:19 pm There is nothing you can do about economic sabotage when the right wing traders and their servile masses allied with the big banks , big oil , and the US wage an all out economic war. Venezuela's assets are going to be blocked and Maduro is strapped for cash. Guaido is going to have access to all the diplomatic and financial levers by the West soon enough.
This may escalate into full blown civil war

The bolivar revolution might suffer a mortal blow because if just one person.
The economic situation is his fault, even Assad facing full blown war kept the economy going and no hyperinflation while receiving much less funds from China and Russia.
How did he do this? Easy by using your God given brain and not being a slave to ideology..
By doing anything that works even if it's against "common knowledge"..
Us sanctions just exasperated the situation.
I regard graduates from economics from western countries specifically the US a weapon and a dangerous threat to your economy.
It doesn't look too good right now
The road to Tehran runs through Caracas. The neocons will never give that up.AbdiWahab252 wrote: Mon Jan 28, 2019 6:02 pm FAH at least Trump is not invading another Muslim country. He is going to be the only American President not to invade a Muslim country.
I think it may be that way but John Bolton is running around giddyAbdiWahab252 wrote: Mon Jan 28, 2019 6:18 pm FAH I remember watching the Panama invasion. It was f-king brutal and a testing ground for new military technology.
The invasion influenced military policy in subsequent invasions but it failed to work in the next one: Somalia
Maduro is being pushed to crack down and is running out of time. The only thing he can do now is to get Chinese and Russian military advisors on the ground to grant his security.
The most likely scenario are a negotiated settlement with elections in a few months. No one has appetite for a full scale invasion and Russia nor China won’t let it stand
