But the good thing is , the Venezuelan working class and poor are fully well informed about the situation and the will defend their interest . If the socialist government is overthrown by the wealthy right wingers , then the consequence for the poor and working class is total destruction.

I think this time is different. Most of the countries in the region are recognizing Guaido. The EU is next.

Venezuela's assets are going to be blocked and Maduro is strapped for cash. Guaido is going to have access to all the diplomatic and financial levers by the West soon enough.

This may escalate into full blown civil war

They already froze all the assets , that comes automatically with western sanctions . The unbelievable thing is Maduro asked for Venezuelan gold back from British banks and the British bank refused reasoning that Maduro will squander it. can you believe the audacity!!!

The EU is the main bottom bitch of the greatest fataal to walk this earth - adeero Sam.

Unelected European technocrats calling Maduros elected government illegitimate. You can't make this shit up

Their double dealing with Iran is another hypocrisy. Allegedly setting up a payment system to bypass US sanctions (delayed 3 times by now) while sanctioning Iran for developing their defense capabilities.

Maduro is not helping matters he appears to be a moron.
The bolivar revolution might suffer a mortal blow because if just one person.

The economic situation is his fault, even Assad facing full blown war kept the economy going and no hyperinflation while receiving much less funds from China and Russia.
How did he do this? Easy by using your God given brain and not being a slave to ideology..
By doing anything that works even if it's against "common knowledge"..
Us sanctions just exasperated the situation.

I regard graduates from economics from western countries specifically the US a weapon and a dangerous threat to your economy.

It doesn't look too good right now

Gurey,

Trump is itching to invade. Even the biggest hawk Lindsey Graham is cautioning him on military options.

The United States should respect Venezuela.
By trying to install a puppet leader is not going to work. The country would go into a civil war, which is not good for anyone.

FAH at least Trump is not invading another Muslim country. He is going to be the only American President not to invade a Muslim country.

The road to Tehran runs through Caracas. The neocons will never give that up.

Still might be disasterous

FAH I remember watching the Panama invasion. It was f-king brutal and a testing ground for new military technology.

The invasion influenced military policy in subsequent invasions but it failed to work in the next one: Somalia

Maduro is being pushed to crack down and is running out of time. The only thing he can do now is to get Chinese and Russian military advisors on the ground to grant his security.

The most likely scenario are a negotiated settlement with elections in a few months. No one has appetite for a full scale invasion and Russia nor China won’t let it stand

I think it may be that way but John Bolton is running around giddy

The US looks desperate, installing puppets successfully in Brazil, Argentina and Ecuador just so they can attack Venezuela.

The problem is there won't be maidan coup in Venezuela and another poroshenko puppet, you will get a civil war and failed state.

Taking out Venezuels oil just when the US need it when the shale oil and gas Ponzi scheme starts to crash in Les than 5 years ranking the US and world economy.

There were rumours that Saudia have been faking their reserves since the 1980s , it appears that Iraq with its tiny production of about 2 million barrels per day compared to Saudia 10 to 12 million had greater reserves than Saudia that are untapped.
Venezuela dwarfs all that, if the US gets to loot Venezuela it can keep in the game for longer.

I was looking forward to a US crash in my lifetime and happy that it was most likely to be before 2030 ,
Venezuela gives them another 10 to 15 years of a lifeline.

Venezuela is the last chance to prolong the empire ,
The plan to breakup Russia and feed on it for decades failed with Putin, the plan to destabilize central Asia and feed on the potentially over 1 trillion worth of minerals in Afghanistan and probably an equal amount in Baluchistan as well as the untapped massive oil and gas in central Asia also failed. That's the reason they won't leave Afghanistan it's the launch pad into central Asia.

Iraq failed even after they came back and reestablished control over Baghdad by orchestrating Isis bullshit.
All because the stability or Iraq and Afghanistan is in Iran's strategic interest and they have as much control as the US in both countries.
If Iran is attacked they pull the plug and both fall into chaos.
Right now even though Chinese companies deal with production Iraqi oil is still sold in US dollars and so the US can continue to feed.

Without Venezuela there will be nothing prolong up the US dollar and then puff overnight no more empire as they cannot afford 500 bases and most of the US armed forces .

The worry is the crazies in the US government cannot imagine a world where they don't rule the world, it's the end of the world for them and thus nuclear war makes allot of sense.

Why is Venezuelan gold in the Bank of England? Is this some sort of international law? :mindblown:

Why not store it in China? Dubai? Iran? Russia?
