You guys fail to understand the only possible outcome of talks with SL, that is for it to accept its federal state status. Once that is agreed we can move on to the details of resource sharing. This is the passion of the Federal Government, I apologize for the last government giving SL false hopes of being treated as an equal entity with FSG.

The dream of 'Somaliweyn' is dead. Djibouti is independent while Afweyne signed off NFD (1984) and K5 (1988).

So my question to you is.. why should Somaliland even consider uniting with Somalia, given all the bad blood and neverending betrayal?

On top of all this, Somaliland territory does not fall under Somalias jurisdiction, not even in 1960, because:

1. The Act of Union was null and void
2. Even if it was legally binding, Somalia was just a constituent state.
3. One constituent state cant rule the other. Case in point, the republics of Sovietunion, Senegambia, The United Arab Republic (Egypt + Syria) etc.

In essence, we will never settle for a federal state when we can regain our sovereignty!

Why haven’t you become a recognized state? The first recognized permanent govt was HSM, why couldn’t you get recognized before then?

Somalia is a failed state. The previous "government" and the current one are paper governments.

The IC and AU know that SL case is more than legitimate, but their argument is, if SL is recognized it would totally destroy the little hope of resurrecting Somalia. Thats why they are pushing for these useless talks.

In my opinion their argument is based on an incorrect proposition and its illogical. We were not connected to Somalia on June 26, 1960 when we gained our independence so why now?

Why on earth would we want to talk them? In my opinion, before any discussion takes place, Somalia needs to get their shit togather first. Somalia is a fragmented country and thier priority has be working towards achieving a peace and uniting it's people before anything else.

It's not us the international community want these talks to happen so somaliland and zoomalia can peacefully go their separate ways .

Ultimately, the decision to talk to them or any body for that matter rests on us to accept it or not. Nobody is going to make Somaliland do what it does or doesn’t want do period. Eventually, there will be some sort of talk but now is not the ideal time for either Somaliland or Somalia, in the meantime Somaliland needs to work towards resolving our internal issues and building up our military so if the need to use force arises, we are ready.
