by claiming the attack came from Iran makes it binary, there are only 2 logical outcomes.
Its either mike pompeo is full of shit and lying as usual or the level of incompetence has gone up significantly.

Patriot PAC-2and 3 are littered all over the gulf , all facing iran, and even though they are like comparing kia hatchback to a BMW 7series when you look at Russian or Isreali systems they would have easily spotted and tracked the drones all the way from Iran.

These are manned mostly by US personel not Saudis and even when you have saudis manning them they are shadowed by US instructors.

So you cant blame the saudis in this case , if the drones came from iran then its a f-king nightmare for the Saudis and Americans because it means they have zero defense.

The drones in question are not new, they are very old and obsolete and simple only the electronics are advanced and it just takes plugging in some parts during assembly.
They are simple enough that they can be assembled in a garage, so the racist thinking that the houthis cannot do this is just ridiculous.
The Iranians are going to keep pushing since they are being blocked from selling their oil and have to do it in the shadows i.e. turn off transponders and deliver at night to their customers and of course they have to receive payments not in dollars. Trump's withdrawal from the JCPOA and the megadonor pro Israel people like Sheldon Adelson and Christian Zionists really want a war.

It's important to understand how much of a game changer this is.

Immediate results; 100% legitimacy of the Saudis in Yemen

Possible developments; outward US/Western participation? Possible drone/air strikes?

Dangerous possibilities; mistake that could lead to physical confrontations with Iran?
The Patriot system is proving to look funny in the light. The Russians are trolling and offering to sell the S400 to the Saudis, Trump's donors and neocons that are in his administration want to fight Iran but the Pentagon is telling him he will have oil in the hundreds of dollars per barrell and the US Gulf vassal states having their oil and desalination plants attacked by rockets from Iran.

Its war-gamed out. People in Congress like Graham and ceeb Cheney's daughter have no idea WTF they are talking about.

Looks like Trump has succeeded in turning Europe against Iran:
