Deni is now safely back in Puntland. He was intercepted passing past Hobyo by GalMudug authorities. Before answering any questions, Deni insisted on a Saxan Bariis with hilib, as he was tired of subsiting on sunflower seeds and codkac for weeks. Galmudug authorities after serving him a delicious meal agreed to deport him back to Puntland quietly with no media discovery. The rationale was it would be humiliating for Somalis to know that a supposed regional leader would take it upon themselves to row all the way to Kismaayo to defy a Presidential decree.
