They usually make the governors someone totally different from any of the locals so that the locals don't say they're giving power to one clan over the other. But when battles start they usually pick someone from within the clan to start the battle cry. When Al Shabaab attacked Abu Mansur the guy who was leading the battle was also Leysaan.

Marexan are opportunists they move with the flow.
Even though there are alot of footsoilders left of AS.Most of the top commanders defected to the govt.
Zakariya,Filow and others.
But still they have high presence of AS in Gedo that are marexan.

what happened to abu mansoor anyway, how come he lost the battle against al shabaab and was forced to give himself up. did you support him for the south west presidency ?
