Absolutely! Voltage's naivety and lack of understanding of the geopolitical situation in the Horn is mindboggling. Somalis have no issues with Oromo, just the minor border issues, and in terms of the TPLF's long chokehold on Somalia, the Somalis were their own enemy. But the black empire, which sat at all the tables Africa was divided, wants to stop nothing short of complete command of the Horn. We speak their language, celebrate their holidays, and even use their seven-year late confusing calendar in Ethiopia. If you didn't already know, the Amhara claim most Somali cities and half of Sudan. Ask any Amharaian in America who owns JigJiga or Hargeisa?BigBreak wrote: Tue Jan 26, 2021 2:15 pmGreat analysis Guhad and yes I saw the pictures of Amhara strutting their stuff celebrating Orthodox Christmas in Jijiga in their hundreds at the very least.....a truly shocking situationguhad122 wrote: Tue Jan 26, 2021 1:16 pm A person who doesn't know much about Ethiopian chronicles and empires should avoid commenting on the current situation. While the TPLF took advantage of the collapsed Somali government, they brought nothing new but instead followed the strategies laid for them by the successive Amhara leadership before them; Haile Sallasie and Mengistu. Mengistu hosted every single clan-based Somali movement in Ethiopia, even after signing the bilateral agreement with Somalia to not support opposition groups back in the mid-1980s. And Melez just followed his footsteps in keeping Somalia in turmoil for that long.
Yes, the minority TPLF government was cruel and committed atrocities, but thanks to karma, they are now paying the price for that. In the long run, the Amhara wants to bring their imperialism in the horn. Luckily for them, they found their messiah in the form of Abiy, who believes the Gospel will resolve all of Ethiopia's problems.
Amhara hardcore nationalists are mad at him because he's not moving fast enough to constrain all the non-Amhara communities, including the Benisshangul Gumuz and the Gambbela. Have you, guys, seen the recent videos of the Amhara religious festival in JigJiga? Please look for that.
As usual, Voltage sees things from one perspective: his Uncle Farmaajo, whose time is up anyway.
Even Landers who are pro independence like myself don't trust Abiy and his messianic ambitions for the Horn region. We don't want to be part of Ethiopia anymore than we want unity with Somalia

I can't speak for him, but what he's saying is nothing new sxb. Farmaajo is a stooge for Ethiopia, this government is funded, protected, and maintained by Somalia's greatest adversary in the Horn of Africa (Ethiopia), AU and the International community. The FGS is a paper government that has no sovereignty, any accomplishment claimed to be achieved by this administration (debt removal, return of airspace, fighting AS etc) is thanks to the work of foreigners.Voltage wrote: Tue Jan 26, 2021 8:58 am Bigbreak,
Kindly spare me your inauthenticity. I have always found myself bored with superficiality so I prefer not to even acknowledge it as you may have found puzzling. I only even disclaim this to you because your instigation has become acute. You see people like you and Old Dervish, etc are not any less agreeable to me than a member like Abkoow, but Abkoow and I come FOR discussion be what it may lead to; you come as a reactionary----driven her by who or what you are AGAINST. Inevitably, it is always instigating.
I don't care for it. Spare me the unrequested attention. I have checked out of living rent free in any random online person's head. Any such person can play with their created delusions---by themselves, over there.

Your meandering, mishmash of nonsense directed at me is so irrelevant it makes me too bored to even care to quote exactly what I said and proceed to give you a word by word explanation thst shows everything you wrote on this subject might actually be tantamount to plagiarism.
What did I say about superficiality?

Re: PM Abiy Ahmed of Ethiopia is Dead
Whatta F joke so you’re saying Ethiopian intelligence is arresting Somali citizens in Somalia. This says it all about your character that you’re willing to sell your country at any cost for farmaajo to stay in power. Ethiopian stooges your days are numbered.
Re: PM Abiy Ahmed of Ethiopia is Dead
You didn't know that? This has been the case since 1998, who do you think was interviewing ONLF in PL and SL? Ethiopia intelligence has bases in PL in all the major cities.juelz wrote: Wed Jan 27, 2021 1:50 am Whatta F joke so you’re saying Ethiopian intelligence is arresting Somali citizens in Somalia. Yup confirmed I guess those users wishing him death will kill themselves tonight out of spite

Re: PM Abiy Ahmed of Ethiopia is Dead
Even if Abiy dies, not much would change in Ethiopia, as evidenced by how the country handled the insurrection in Tigray. I remember the countless threads predicting the demise & fragmentation of Ethiopia, but nothing remotely close happened.grandpakhalif wrote: Thu Jan 28, 2021 7:10 am Yup confirmed I guess those users wishing him death will kill themselves tonight out of spite![]()
