Never said the west has our best interest at heart. What I said was Somaliland is an independent state because of its people and political leadership. They can't make us independent they cannot. They can recognise our independence. But they can never make us independent. Second issue is we never emphesise on the westerners. We have gone this far with out their assistance. SOMALILANDERS this current elecions was funded by the Somaliland govt. 90 percent 10 percent so called donors. Its Somalia that needs the west its Somalia that has got its very legitimacy as a state and govt from the west. With out USUN support Somalia so called paper govt would collapse with 24 days. Saddaam na wu barooran laha. Somaliland decides to hold elecions when it wants its fund its elecions. Nobody can tell us what to do in great lines.

Puntland is going to be holding local elections soon where every resident no matter their tribe will be able to vote. The difference between Puntland and Somaliland is your leaders have no accountability to its people. As long as they continue the ictiraaf con job, no one will ask questions. Imagine if you even spent 10% of the energy on development and infrastructure rather than begging the world for recognition, what you could have achieved.
