A question that I find fascinating is considering Bah Daarandoole were heavily Daraawiish led by Shabeel Carab (rer Kooshin,), to what extent was Xaaji Xaashi engaged with the Daraawiish as a younger man in his youth growing up in Wardheer?

Information on this question would be amazing I would think.

I was talking about Jama Geri himself. Anyway in the Dervish state I think there was some form of conscription. Sayidka became like a matchmaker for the orphans of fallen Darwiish. Jidbaale was a major blow intii ku shahiitay lama tirinkaro a group of brothers would trek to Sool and one or none would come back alive that kinda shiidh.

Will try to find more info. Another fact is he stood up for woman’s rights for all somalis and took a stand when most of the tribes was assembled by the colonialist and each head was requested to provide large numbers of females to be subjects of the troops. When it got to X/Xaashi and it was translated to him he slapped the interpreter twice out of rage and said “Gabar waa mid ani i dhashay, waa mid aan dhalay, waa mid i la dhalatey, waa mid eedo ii ah iyo habaryar ii ah, sidee waxaas la ii weydiini kara?”
That sent a strong message and it worked as that request had to get taken back and he put a halt to it for everyone, if I was to guess the timeline I would say this all transpired late 30s or during the 40s. He was subsequently arrested and done a 7-8 years sentence, for the most part in wardheer behind his actions, Alhamdulilah he saved and spoke up not just MX but all the other qabaa’ils present on that day. He passed away in the year 1974.

He was a great man, fellow Hormajaan, the historic revisionism is very distasteful but if it is to the benefit of my creed I will just shut my mouth.

Post from coolpoison on snet

Dagaalkii 1977 do U know who the man in charge of taangis was? That was General Abdinasir Haji Hashi Jama Geri. he's Rer Noor Dini.

Isku-dhafka ururada iyo qeybaha ciidamada ee lagu gufeynayay guutooyinka aagagga hore, waxay xilligaas ahaayeen mid saameysay ciidamadii Soomaalida. Geedigii ay War-dheer kaga baxeen guutadii uu hoggaaminayay Gaashaanle Cabdicasiis Coonka, waxaa la xilli ahaa geeddi ay Xamar kaga baxeen urur taangiyo ah oo Hargeysa loo beddelay. Ururkaas oo uu hoggaaminayay Gaashaanle Cabdi-naasir Xaaji Xaashi, waxay wateeb qalab ay kamid ahaayeen 38 taangi oo ah noocii ugu danbeeyay oo Ruushku uu siiyo Soomaaliya. Nooca taangiyadu waxay ahaayeen T-55. Laba urur oo keliya ayay ciidamada Soomaalidu ka haysteen taangiyada jaadkan ah, kuwaas oo muddo sanad ka yar horteed soo gaaray gacanta XDS. Ujeeddada ururkan loo beddelay waxay ahayd in qalabkan lagu xoojiyo weerarada culus oo la damacsanaa in lagu qaado degmooyinka gudaha ku jira, sida Jig-jiga, iyo Dirir-dhabe. Ururka kale ee haystay taangiyada T-55, wuxuu fadhigiisu ahaa Hargeysa. Gaashaanle Cabdi-naasir Xaaji oo arintaas inooga waramay, waxaa hadalkiisii kamid ahaa :

" Taangiyada aan hoggaaminayay waxay ahaayeen kuwo cusub oo sanad ka hor dalka yimid. Aniga oo dhisaya waddo laami ah ayaa la ii yeeray oo la i faray inaan ka soo dejiyo dekadda Kismaayo. Dabadeed, waxaan kamid ahaa saraakiil iyo askar ku tababartay taangiyadaas. ........................................ ". (Wareysi aanu la yeelanay Jeneraal Cabdi-naasir Xaaji Xaashi. 9/7- 2005. UK. London).

Im sure somewhere down the line he was locked up briefly by the kacaan but later released, he’s a war hero but it is what it is, I think the president saw him as a threat or waxa lagu akhriyey odaga wax aan jirin, that the general may launch a coup.
But I seriously doubt the general would entertain such a thought anyway that’s how I heard it but I can always be wrong about this

He was arrested in 1987, but there is no doubt he was a hero. It actually also shows Siad Barre wasn't the Marehan obsessed tribal overlord they liked to play. The truth is he was head of a government in an increasingly insecure country and he kept it under control without any illusion to tribalism.

Also, I have a hard time believing Adan Loow and Haji Hashi were the same age. If Farmaajo and faroole/qaybdiid are active in politics the same time, it doesn't mean they are the same age. Adan Loow was around Barre's generation whereas Haji was at least 20 years older in my estimation.

They were not only contemporaries but peers, the age difference is not much max 15 years thats the difference between a 30 year old and a 45 year old.

Just got confirmation the Ugas of Warfa Dalal Adan Hashi was of those present at the meet and who remained silent to the demands of hosting the colonialists Italians with our females, where X/Xaashi took that stand and I’ve also just been told he was arrested and lead away from that exact place.
Age difference of X/X and Adan Low is probably 15-20.

Gurxan muuse cawl of Rer Dalal (Alamagan?) once warned X/X to stop digging wells in Caabudwaaq as he thought it may lead to the MX moving there en mass leaving dhuusamareeb.

Haji Hashi literally violently overthrew that old decrepit Ali Kenadiid who use to twerk for Italians, why are you avoiding talking about this ? Ugaas Adan Hashi was the one who ruthlessly slaughtered his father Yusuf Kenadiid soldiers and peaced out, he had no relations with Italians he despised them he only worked with British and to some degree Habeshis.

and he was not Ugaas of warfa Dalal but Ugaas of MX reestablisher of Ximan, he was also not peers of Haji Hashi, or Adan Low he was both their uncle and much older than them, he was ruling prior to Italians invaded.

I want you to know Kenadiid were whoring out their daughters to Italians, no MX daughter was ever given to any Gaal, my family use to neighbor some of the Italian soldiers litter in Xamar a bunch of Dhaboyaco mulatos.
