How old are you?
Listen, I am a grown man and I am past the stages of identity crisis. I am not insecure about my identity at all and the more I realize we don't really know much about our history, the more comfortable I am with any intellectual or academic discourse that attempts to understand it no matter how complex it may seem.
When people grief, no one has a right to tell them to stop grieving. Grieving is a natural human stage and it must be allowed to be completed.
Similarly, coming to terms with identity is a natural human stage with most people going through it at some point between adolescence and mid-life.
You have a right to go through your identity forming process so I am not going to begrudge it, but I would advise you NOT to read my writings or engage me if it is going to trigger you.
I mean just the way you responded to me is unnecessary and should be avoidable.
It is not ONLY that you are angry at the discussion of theory, but you are ALSO signalling that you believe you are ENTITLED to what I can or cannot discuss.
In effect, MY freedom of expression is subject to YOUR control and desire.
Wallahi even the way I am responding to you is a reflection of TELLING myself to respond maturely to you.
This is something I wóuld encourage you to be mindful of as a general matter.
Finally, "Gubbet" is a Somali world.
It comes from Gub or "To burn INTO."
Geographically, Somalis use it to describe any part of land with a deep indentation or recession or makes an upside down dome or a crater.
In the north, the geography of the undulating coastal mountain ranges is called Guban.
Similarly, Somalis call an indentation with water either a Bay or temporary/seasonal waterbed a "Gubbad (Gubbet is Western spelling).
There are many "Gubbets."
The region of Western Galgaduud was originally called (culturally before state and regions) "Galgubbet."
There arr Gubbet Caanood, Gubbet Faarax, Gubbet Sanyar.
In fact, the originally base of my own family historically is from Gubbet Faarax!

In any case, if you are going to act like you just did, I am going to insist that you take my advice and ignore me.
I have no desire to trigger you and I assure you I have even less of a desire to deal with the misplaced entitlement that would tell anyone my freedom of expression is subject to their whims and dictates.
